CORD DRIVE DEVICE MEETING SAFETY STANDARDS

The cord loop control device available in “C” frontal control systems complies with the stringent safety standards in force: the control device is released when subjected to a stress greater than 6 dN. Furthermore, the cord is kept under tension by means of a tensioner applied on the glass like the control device. Once released, the control device can be repositioned and the blind will resume its normal operation. When this patent was deposited, Pellini SpA was ahead of time compared to the publication of standard EN 13120:2014. The control device can be fully removed from the glass to allow cleaning operations and to keep the slat position locked.

BENEFITS:

  • Aesthetics: cord is kept under tension and straight
  • Safety: in line with standard EN 13120
  • Versatility: easy release and removal of the cord
