ScreenLine Wave, the shape of innovation
After more than ten years of research and development, Pellini officially introduces ScreenLine Wave, a solar shading solution made with an ultra-slim film integrated inside the insulating glass unit.
ScreenLine Wave embodies Pellini’s innovative spirit, as it is a completely new type of shading system developed by adapting technologies already used in other industries, including aerospace and energy, and applying them within the IGU cavity.
Currently available in a blackout version, it is designed for insulating glass units with 20 mm or 22 mm airspace, complete with a patented warm edge spacer bar and powered by a 24V motor. It can be operated via wall switches, remote control, app, or building automation systems.
Design meets Performance
Wave combines refined aesthetics with high performance. Its horizontal wave-shaped geometry creates a distinctive visual effect, whilst the PVD coating applied to the outer side of the film gives it a metallic finish and significantly reduces solar gain, achieving values comparable to external shading systems (gtot < 10%), at the same time improving thermal insulation.
As with all ScreenLine systems, the blind is sealed inside the insulating glass unit, protecting it from dust, dirt, and atmospheric agents while eliminating maintenance requirements.
ScreenLine solutions offer an effective alternative to traditional shading systems. In particular, Wave can be a substitute for roller shutters, avoiding the thermal and acoustic bridging issues typically associated with shutter boxes.
Thanks to its reduced thickness, Wave can also be installed in triple glazing units, combined with a light-filtering solar shading solution such as Venetian blinds. This allows privacy and view through to be balanced with full blackout effect when needed.
The specially engineered winding tube geometry ensures minimal stack height, which remains constant regardless of glass height, leaving the glazed surface completely clear when the blind is raised.
