From 20th to 23rd October, Pellini will be in Düsseldorf at Glasstec, the two-yearly trade fair dedicated to technologies and innovations for the glass industry.
Once again, Pellini will showcase an exciting range of developments, from entirely new concepts to further advances in technologies first unveiled during previous editions. Taking centre stage will be ScreenLine Wave, the shading solution made from an ultra-thin wave foil, officially launched last spring. With research and development continuing apace, Glasstec will offer visitors a first-hand look at two significant additions to the range: a microperforated version and a printed-film version.
The microperforated version of ScreenLine Wave draws on Pellini’s expertise in technical fabrics, which allow the level of solar protection to be tailored to individual project requirements. Alongside combining solar protection with view through to the outside, this new version will offer extensive scope for customisation. A dedicated, purpose-engineered, patent-pending manufacturing process will enable films to be produced with bespoke openness factors.
The second major preview is a printed-film version. A patent-pending dye-sublimation printing process will allow images, geometric designs and patterns to be reproduced on the room-facing side of the film, opening new possibilities for tailoring the shading solution to the architectural vision and interior design scheme. Wave will also feature in Glass Technology Live (Hall 11, Stand G62), the exhibition’s showcase of the most significant innovations in glass, curated by leading European universities. The display stand will feature an insulating glass unit incorporating vacuum insulating glass (VIG), capable of achieving a solar factor of approximately 1%, alongside exceptional acoustic insulation.
The innovations extend beyond the film itself to operating systems and airspace. Originally developed as a motorised solution, ScreenLine Wave will also be on show at the Pellini stand in manual versions, operated by cord or by a magnetic slider, in several cavities. For the
residential market, the latest major product launch is the SL16M motorised Venetian blind, which will be displayed together with the full range of systems for 16-mm airspace. Glasstec 2026 will also host the world premiere of a compact yet significant innovation: the new External Motor. More than 20 years after the first model was launched, Pellini will unveil a completely redesigned version, with key improvements beneath the casing to deliver greater precision and quieter operation.
These are just some of the innovations visitors will be able to experience first-hand at the Pellini stand (Hall 11, Stand 11C68), where they can also enjoy a coffee or an aperitif in the Pellini Lounge.
