Growth and prospects for technical blinds division

New strategies and tools to support the development of Pellini’s division specialising in technical blinds

Learning from 50 years of history and expertise and projecting Tende e Sistemi, the Pellini division specialising in the production of technical blinds, towards new projects in the commercial, public and residential markets, which are increasingly aware of the quality of fabrics, the reliability of products and their environmental impact, both in terms of production and their application in buildings.
These are the recurring theme of the Tende e Sistemi sales team meeting that was held on 8th June at Pellini’s headquarters, and which focused on the presentation of the new strategies and new tools that were developed to support promotional and commercial activities.

Increase in turnover and projects

The meeting gave the opportunity to share the results of the enhanced organisational structure set up in 2019, which was followed by the expansion of the Area Managers’ network with the aim of strengthening relationships with clients and partners throughout the country and taking advantage of Pellini’s know-how with the support of its Technical Advisors, who co-operate with architectural and façade engineering practices on a daily basis.

This evolution has resulted in a constant growth in turnover, even in a complex year like 2020, and in the award of the most significant projects marking the urban development of cities like Milan (with thousands of motorised roller blinds supplied for the Libeskind-PwC and Isozaki-Allianz Towers) and Rome (with the HQ of Poste Italiane) and which testify to the trust in Pellini’s expertise.

New catalogue of technical blinds

The main promotional tool introduced is the new Tende e Sistemi Collection Book, a comprehensive folder consisting of:

  • Tende e Sistemi division overview
  • Description of the 3 series available: Swift (roller, pleated and venetian blinds for wall or ceiling application), Light (blinds for inside mount application) and Air (blinds for 2+1 windows)
  • Datasheets with a description of each product and in-depth analysis of its technical characteristics
  • Technical drawings
  • Feasibility charts
  • Fabric range with relevant technical features and certifications
  • Colour range

  • Information on the safety devices adopted
  • Price list

Hardware and fabrics: quality and sustainability

Great care was taken in the selection of fabrics, available in four ranges: metallised, screens, Trevira-based and black-out, each being offered in a wide range of colours and openness factors. Among the products giving added value to the Tende e Sistemi roller blinds there are Verosol fabrics, which Pellini has distributed in Italy for over 20 years.

The Pellini Tende e Sistemi solutions also mean sustainability, as shown by the EnviroScreen metallised fabric, which is Cradle-to-cradle certified (namely, it can be entirely recycled into another fabric with the same characteristics) and contributes to the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) obtained by the Pellini Latemar Catenella Roller blind system.
